Client - Newland Homes
Model scale – 1:100

This 1-100 scale model was required by Newland Homes as a sales and marketing tool. It can be very useful for future home owners to appreciate the development with regards to physical and special reality. A model can help sell homes before construction has even begun.

The topography of the hard and soft landscape was very undulating on this particular model so included many retaining walls and steps. This made constructing the base more of a challenge.
Bristol Water architectural model was constructed using a variety of materials including wood, card, paper, acrylic, pre brought roof tile textures and a variety of plastic extrusions. We laser engraved the exterior stone wall texture in-house. Then cut, sculpted and painted to best replicate the existing stone wall on this site. All metal balcony’s and fences were brass etched. The etching process allows us to produce rails down to 0.2mm wide and keep the intricate details and scale correct throughout the model. These small details along with the addition on foliage, people and cars bring these architectural models to life.

The model was enclosed in a clear acrylic case to protect it from prying fingers, dust and damage.
We also constructed a custom stand with storage unit built in to hold any paperwork. The unit was cladded using white gloss acrylic to ensure a quality finish to the overall model.
